ParticipantThat’s exactly what I mean. Thank you!

ParticipantNo you can’t add credit to a 60+ Oyster.
What I do is carry a regular Oyster card, and if I’m travelling on national rail, I use that card with my railcard discount added to it. I buy a ticket from the last station that’s in the tfl zone to the destination.
For example going to Reading, I bought a ticket using my railcard discount, from West Drayton to Reading. I boarded at Paddington, and my 60+ Oyster covers me for the tfl leg.

ParticipantEspecially as most concession pass times have been curtailed. It’s more than likely they’ll not be re-introduced. This wasn’t an issue before the pandemic of course.

ParticipantYes you’re right Matthew. I’ll have to carry two Oyster cards, until nfc is incorporated into the tfl app. Thank you. What a faff!

ParticipantI’ll use my PAYG Oyster in the morning. I do indeed have a disabled railcard attached. That card is on the TFL Oyster app and uses NFC to touch in and out.
For the evening journey home and weekends, I’ll use the physical 60+ Oyster photocard. Hope that makes more sense!

ParticipantThank you Mike, much appreciated.
I’ll use the PAYE Oyster app on my ‘phone and tap in with the 60+ card keeping them separate.
