    Hello

A few years ago (pre-Covid) I used to buy a 1 month season ticket (not a travelcard) for point to point travel betweeen Walthamstow Central (overground) and London Liverpool St (overground).

This was cheaper than the peak daily fare if used most days in the month and required a photo card.

I no longer see this available so wonder if they’ve taken away the option? There used to be weekly and annual options too.

There now seems to be a ‘hybrid working’ season where you can specify 1, 2, 3 (etc) days per week travel for 28 days (or a week, or annual), but the price calculated for my journey (above) is far higher than just using PAYG contactless. Wonder if I’m missing something?

    Any advice appreciated!

    Hi Stuart,

There is still a point to point season available for £27.90 per week or £107.20 per month. Is that what you’re looking for?

    Hi Mike

Yes, I found that. Looks like it only makes sense if travelling 4 or 5 times per week (peak PAYG return fare is £7.60 or £30.40 for 5 days).

The ‘flexi’ season is way more expensive. For example, 2 times per week for 4 weeks is £107.20 whereas the PAYG cost would be £60.80 – unless I’m missing something!

    Thanks

I’m not sure where you’re getting flexi season rates from. They aren’t supposed to be available within zones 1-6. The weekly is quite tight, but the monthly will save if you travel most weekdays. If you only require 3 or so days a week then PAYG is the best bet.

The flexi is showing on the season ticket calculator page but I suspect it’s not available for London-only travel.

However, rather than display that it just shows the full season prices which are expensive for less than 4 days per week

Yes, I see what you mean now. That is very poor design.
