    Between 2 and 30 minutes, you get charged a minimum fare. Is the minimum fare based on as if the station is in (e.g) Zone 3 and the following stations on that line are still in Zone 3, you will get charged the Zone 3 only fare which is 1.90 (peak) and 1.80 (off-peak). If the station is in Zone 9 like Amersham or Chesham for example and it seems that there are no following stations on that line within that zone, the next stop would be Chalfont in this case which is in Zone 8, you would get charged the Zone 8-9 fare?

    Hi Duncan,

    Yes, it’s the cheapest single fare from that station at that time. Note that the fares you quoted are for TfL-LU scale routes. Lots of people in south London with late adopting NR services would love to only pay those fares.
