This morning the clock went forwards an hour and I boarded an N89 at 0445 (it was running late!)

Changing to an N9 at Charing Cross to Heathrow

Followed up by an SL7 back to East Croydon

I then got an SL5 back to Bromley and am currently on an SL3 home.

    I’ve been charged £1.75 for the N89.
    £1.75 for the N9
    £1.75 for the SL7 and
    £1.75 for the SL5 making a total of £7

However, the issue seems to be the N89 as although I boarded at 0445 it shows the time of boarding as 0345 therefore gone as fare for yesterday despite being in today’s 0430-0429 cap.

How do I go about getting a refund as I worry that I may struggle getting TfL customer service to understand that I travelled on the N89 at 0445

    Hi Chris,

I don’t think you’ll have any trouble. I’d say that buses not going forward an hour mid journeys is probably a known issue and if you explain what happened they’ll refund.

Let me know what happens tomorrow.

    Hi Mike,
I’ve been told to wait 48 hours as may get an automatic refund.

Will contact them again tomorrow if not.

Spoke to TfL again and explained what happened and they refunded me back the £1.75 straight away.

    Excellent customer service there.

    All sorted 🙂
