TfL has advised that the photocard website will be unavailable between 16-24 July. This will allow major upgrade work to happen to the back office system ensuring that the 20-year-old photocard product continues to be fit for use.
Existing photocards will continue to operate normally, and topups can be made at ticket machines and Oyster ticket stop shops. You won’t be able to apply for a new photocard or order a renewal or replacement during this time. Customers are advised to make applications before 16th July to ensure that the cards arrive in good time.
Shashi Verma, Director of Tech Strategy & Revenue at TfL said: “We are always looking to ensure our systems remain robust and reliable, and as part of this the Oyster Photocard website will unfortunately be unavailable between 16-24 July. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause customers and advise anyone who may need to renew or apply for a photocard during this work to try and do so beforehand.”
