I have noticed some odd fares from Windsor & Eton Riverside. I do know fares beyond zone 9 can get wonky.

I first noticed that Going to Grays from Windsor & Eton Riverside was cheaper than some of the London stations.

And the fares seem to be up and down and different for different stations in the same zone even accounting for the modes used.

So it seems getting off the train earlier is more expensive.

Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – Barking [BKG] (NR, LU) 4 – £11.70

    Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – Upney (LU) 4 – £12.30

Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – Upminster Bridge (LU) 6 – £12.70

Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – Grays [GRY] (NR) – £11.70

Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – Tottenham Hale (LU) 3 – £11.70

    Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – King George V (DLR) 3 – £12.00

Windsor & Eton Riverside [WNR] (NR) – Arnos Grove (LU) 4 – £12.00

Yes, that does appear to be a bit all over the place. Most of that will be down to SWR. The only one I’m not sure about is Grays which could be priced by C2C or SWR.
