I know that off-peak is calculated by when you scan into the station.

However, if I was travelling, for example, from Camden Road Overground Station to Harrow-on-the-Hill, I would scan in at Camden, out at Finchley Road and Frognal, then walk and scan in at Finchley Road and out at Harrow-on-the-Hill.

If I was to scan in at Camden Road at 6:20 (off-peak) but then scanned in again at Finchley Road at 6:40 (peak) as part of that journey, would I be charged a peak fare for the second part of the journey? CityMapper currently says that it was cost me £2.10 which is ideal but I want to check this is the case.

    Thanks

    Hi James,

As long as you don’t exceed the interchange time between the Finchley Road stations then the whole journey will be charged as off-peak. I do try to make this clear on the peak, off-peak and caps page. This can have undesirable consequences at the other end of the peak periods, but that is how the system works.
