    Hi all,

Doing some maths to work out the best value travelcard to buy this year. I am contemplating a Zone 2-5 annual card, as most of my travel is out from the Manor House / Finsbury Park area to the northern suburbs.

However, once a week I travel to from there to Earlsfield and back. Out in peak time, back in off peak time. If I have a Z2-5 travelcard, what would the extension fare be for this journey, travelling via Vauxhall? I have a railcard on my oyster card.

    Thanks!

Does the extension fare go from the last station in the valid zones or the first one outside of the valid zones?

Would I pay a Zone 1-2 fare or just the Zone 1 fare?

    Hi Joel,

It would be a zone 1 fare, £2.90 at peak times and £1.85 with your railcard discount when off-peak.
