I Don’t Live In London But Travel In And Around London Regularly, Normally I Buy A Full Price Travelcard From My Home City Into London And Use That On The Underground, However I Have Moved Cities And I Believe That This Is A More Expensive Option So I Will Likley Not Purchase These In Future.

From Where I Live I Can Purchase A “Visitor’s Oyster Card” Which I Believe Are Designed For Tourists, So I Was Thinking Of Getting One Of Those Before I Arrive In London ( As They Come Pre-Loaded With Credit Ready To Use), But I Am Aware That There Are Some Limitations Of The Functionality Of Those Cards, If I Purchase One Of Those, Can I Link My National Railcard With It To Get A Discount Or Is A Regular, Blue Oyster Card Required For That?

    Hi,

I’ve had a quick search to confirm but I can’t find it. You definitely can’t put travelcards on a visitor Oyster card so I’m pretty sure discounts are out as well.
