    I have a Z23 annual travelcard on my Oyster with the Gold Card discount. If I make an off-peak Tube journey from Z1 to Z4, will I be charged:

    (1) £2.90 (Z1-4) minus 33% ie £1.90? Or
    (2) £2.40 (Z1) minus 33% ie £1.60 + £1.50 (Z4) minus 33% ie £1 = £2.60?

    Hi Andy,

    You are charged the lower of the two. In your case that’s (1) but if (2) worked out cheaper then that would be charged instead.

    Thanks Mike, that’s what I thought from reading your info pages, but I wasn’t quite sure if the discount affected things.
