    Dear Sir/Madam,

I cannot find an explanation to when does the daily off-peak cap apply. I have a National Railcard discount, meaning my daily off-peak cap in £5.10 (I commute between zones 1 and 2). Originally I expected that if all journey are off-peak, off-peak cap applies. If one of the trips if peak, then anytime peak applies. From my experience, even if one journey is taken in peak hours, the cap is off-peak (regardless if my first journey of the day is peak or off-peak).

Does that mean I can fit in 2 peak trips and one off-peak and still get an off-peak cap?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi Nazar,

Have you read the Peak, Off-peak and Caps page on this site? Basically, the off-peak cap runs from 0930 until 0430 the next day. This includes any fares priced at the standard rate between 1600-1900.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Mike,

I have, but your explanation makes it very clear. Thank you very much Mike. I am sorry if you had to repeat the information.

    Thanks,

    Nazar
