Hi, if you make a journey and then you have a negative balance after touching out but enough to hit a daily cap, would you still get capped?

To make it more clear, let’s say your balance is at £3. You make a Z1-6 journey which costs £3.60 (off-peak). You have £3.50 left before hitting the daily cap of £14.90. When touching out, your balance would be £-0.50. You’ve hit the daily cap. Would you still get capped if you have a negative number balance?

Thanks for clarifying the question, and apologies for the delay answering.

In the situation described, capping would still work, but the card could not be used for any further travel until the negative balance was cleared.
