New helpdesk number

The Oyster helpline can now be reached via the TfL main number which is 0343 222 1234.  This is treated like 01 and 02 numbers for inclusion into free minutes on mobile and landline plans.  The Oyster helpline is under option 1 on the initial menu, along with ticketing and contactless payment.  Remember that Oyster is only open between 8am and 8pm while the above number is answered 24/7.

    I think the options have probably changed since you wrote your note. On the initial 0343 222 1234 menu, option 1 is now “Any ticketing enquiries including Oyster or contactless payment”; option 2 is “To plan a journey or for any other travel information”.

    After selecting option 1, the next set of options were rather confusing (none of them seemed to describe regular Oyster enquiries) and so I went for 6 “any other enquires” which was answered by the Oyster Helpline (before 8:00pm, obviously).
