I have some understanding of how the fares work on TfL. For example, I know that if I take a tube from Zone 2 to Zone 1 during off peak, it would cost me £2.60 but a Zone 1 to Zone 1 trip costs £2.50 anytime.

I would like to know if TfL publishes a fare chat for all possible zone trips. For example, if I were to find the fare for a trip from Zone 2 to Zone 5, or for a trip from Zone 4 to Zone 2, would I be able to calculate it myself without a fare finder tool? Are there any publicly available charts that can help me calculate the fare of any arbitrary trip?

    Hi Emmet,

My Fares Guide page contains tables showing the standard fares for every zonal combination in zones 1-9. It should be noted though that some fares don’t follow the standard patterns for a variety of reasons, so the fare finder is the bible for a particular journey.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for the response and for maintaining this beautiful website and forum.

Do you have a direct link to your fares guide? I tried searching it on your website but I was not quite successful in locating it. A direct link would help!

Edit: Looks like I found it. Here it is: https://oysterfares.com/information-pages/fares-guide-tables/
