    Hi all,

I’d really appreciate some advice on my daily commute. I travel on PAYG (contactless card) from Coulsdon South (National Rail) → Farringdon → Elizabeth Line → Tottenham Court Road, and then the same in reverse in the evening.

At Farringdon, when transferring from National Rail to the Elizabeth Line, there are 2 validators.

Do I need to tap on this reader, or should I just walk through? Will tapping at this point ensure I’m charged correctly, or could it cause an incomplete journey issue?

I registered my contactless on tfl website and I saw about 10 (!) incomplete journeys…

    Hi,

You do not need to touch validators at Farringdon if it’s in the middle of a PAYG journey. Those validators are intended for people using a traditional ticket on Thameslink services beyond the PAYG area. If you do touch the validators there is a possibility that you may be charged an incomplete journey.
