ParticipantThanks Mike that’s very helpful, will take a look and follow up on here. And yes good point on the April fare being a Friday, didn’t spot that at the time.

ParticipantDid the morning DLR and evening EL combination again today, and the difference is still there even after the fare increase – i.e. it’s now £2.10, as expected, on the DLR vs £2.30 on the EL.

ParticipantAlthough saying that, looking further back to a random point I just noticed this example where the charging appears to have been correct on one of the days. The only difference is that on that day coming home I walked to Poplar and got the DLR from there, rather than CW. But that shouldn’t make a difference, should it? The zones are the same.

ParticipantHi Martin
I don’t think it’s related to the March fare changes, as it seems to have been the case for well over a year (and followed the same pattern before the fare rises last year – i.e. 20p “premium” for EL).
e.g. taking a random day from my history with the same journey profile over 6 months ago:
I’ve asked TfL on a couple of occasions why it’s happening, but after the initial response to say they’re looking into it, I get nothing back.

ParticipantThanks for replying Mike.
This is a snippet of my journey history, from contactless.tfl.gov.uk, showing 2 days with journeys on the EL and DLR with the different fares:
