My wife just tried to board a bus and it gave this error but the card has been fine when used during the week! Unfortunately, I’m away for a few days so can’t give TfL a call to see what’s happened until I get back. It’s got credit on it, I haven’t stopped it so was wondering what other reasons there could be for this to happen 🙂 22/05/2021 at 18:06 #980 MikeModerator Hi Chris, Has it got auto topup set? If yes, then it’s likely that collection of the last topup failed from your bank. Otherwise the most likely reason is a card or reader fault.
